Artisan Colour was founded on April 2, 1998 by Joe Vallone, John Passante and Doug Bondon along with 4 original hires as a catalog production company in Scottsdale, Arizona. Artisan’s attention to detail was immediately apparent and it didn’t take long to win over retail catalog clients such as Neiman Marcus, Sundance, Bergdorf Goodman, Chico’s, PrAna, Pottery Barn, White House/Black Market and Patagonia.
To this day, the Sundance catalog is our longest running national account.
Sundance has been lucky enough to partner with Artisan for nearly two decades. In that time as technology has changed so has Artisan. They have grown prudently but always on the cutting edge of technology. The strong, steady leadership they have in place allows customers an assurance that their projects are in good hands.
The internal team in the shop is top notch in their ability and positive attitude. We appreciate the partnership with everyone internally and the attention to detail they give our work.
As our need for signage grew we have been able to utilize the Artisan HD group for our retail stores. It is really a seamless process to use our images across multiple platforms. We consider them a valued and trusted partner."
Over the years, Artisan has continued to grow. In 2000, we moved to a larger facility and launched our own professional photo studio called Artisan Captures. In 2005, Artisan built a new 36,000 foot location to accommodate the new photo studio and the state-of-the-art equipment that’s required to handle all the custom services that we offer.
